Jennifer des Cognets, a licensed esthetician at Brooks & Butterfield, is donating her time by providing free facials at the spa to cancer patients and their immediate care givers. Jennifer has an extensive background in oncology, emergency and home care. Her professional and nurturing manner will allow those in her care an opportunity to relax, and momentarily relieve themselves of the strains of dealing with this disease. Currently, the program can accommodate one facial per week to be done on Thursday mornings. As the need arises, we may add additional availability. Appointments may be made by calling the spa directly. Jennifer will make a follow-up call shortly thereafter to do a brief consultation.

The stress management program exists to help Controlling Stress by participating in healthy, positive relaxation activities (that also feel great!) can help you deal with the fear and depression that often accompany a cancer diagnosis. And all stress management program services are absolutely FREE.

The Stress Management Program is open to any woman with cancer. At times, when there are more clients than volunteer therapists, priority in scheduling appointments for treatments is given to women who are newly diagnosed, currently in treatment or those with advanced disease.

Free Spa Visits include use of the redwood sauna, eucalyptus steambath, jacuzzi hot tub and the relaxation room. They are available anytime the spa is open without an appointment. You may also use these visits to share the experience with a friend while you are enjoying your free massage or bio-energetic therapy available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays by appointment only.
